前頭前野は、別名“社会脳”。共感や意欲、集中など、人同士が関わりながら生活する上で重要な社会的機能を司ります。大脳を覆う大脳皮質の4つの葉（よう）の一つ、前頭葉の一部で、大脳の先端に位置しています。
